Transmission line construction is a combination of electrical, mechanical and civil engineering. In planning, design, construction and operation of a transmission line, a good knowledge of the rules and procedures, combined with real-life experience is utmost essential. This requires professionally skilled engineers and technicians in addition to appropriate and reliable equipment.
Himal Hydro has constructed more than 300 km of 33 to 132 kV transmission lines. We have a wide range of equipment for transmission line construction. Himal Hydro is the first company in Nepal to develop transmission line maintenance procedures and to establish a maintenance crew.
We have constructed
Presently we are involved in the construction of 220 kV Khimti – Dhalkebar double circuit transmission line, the first such line in Nepal.
Himal Hydro successfully rehabilitated 5 nos. of 132 kV towers damaged by Koshi flood, including 800 mm dia pile foundation (13.5m to 15m deep) and stringing within a very tight time schedule (49 days).
Himal Hydro has also experience in stringing second circuit line (132 kV) parallel to a hot line.
We have also completed Substation works in various locations including 132 kV substations at Lamahi and Pokhara.
